The Nantahala Gorge Excursion departs daily (9am and 2pm) from Bryson City Train Depot. This is a 4.5 hour, 44 mile round trip excursion with highlights of the Fontana Lake Trestle, Tennessee River, Nantahala Gorge and Horseshoe Curve. The Tuckasegee River Excursion departs daily (2:05 p.m.) from Dillsboro Train Depot. This is a relaxing 4 hour, 34 mile round trip excursion traveling from Dillsboro to Bryson City with highlights of the historic Cowee Tunnel, old railroad towns, scenic meadows, and the Tuckasegee River. Visitors to the Corn Maze located by the Tuckasegee River are given a map along with questions & clues to navigate the 8-acre maze of corn. Open daily 11:00 am till 9:00 p.m. 7 days a week.
