The Folkestone Inn is surrounded by everything that's great about the North Carolina Smokies. There's hiking, waterfalls, trout fishing, and tubing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, mountain biking on the famous Tsali trails, fishing on Fontana Lake, sightseeing on the Great Smoky Mountains Scenic Railroad and whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River. The Cherokee Indian Reservation is just ten miles away. There's an 18-hole mountain golf course nearby, and the Biltmore Estate and Winery is just a little over an hour away, in nearby Asheville.
